Dear Colleague,
I respectfully ask for your support in the 2026 Law Society of Alberta Bencher election.
Who am I?
I was born and raised in Beijing, China, where I was indoctrinated to believe in Communism and joined the Communist Party of China at the age of 20. Twenty years later, having experienced freedom in Canada and through the grace of God, I came to faith in Jesus Christ in Calgary.
That journey has given me a deep appreciation for Canada’s constitutional foundations and the responsibility of lawyers to uphold the rule of law. Between the ages of 21 and 49, I earned four law degrees—two in China, one in the United States and one in Canada—and went on to build a successful practice as a sole practitioner in Calgary.
Why vote for me?
These experiences shape the perspective I would bring to service as a Bencher: respect for Canada’s constitutional foundations, an independent bar, freedom of conscience, and an understanding of the practical pressures facing sole practitioners and small firms.
